How to delete your account in the app
- Open the LocalRec app
- Go to Profile
- Select Delete account
- Confirm the deletion
If you can’t access the app
Email support@localrec.ca from the phone number or email linked to your account and request account deletion.
What data is deleted
- Account and authentication data (including phone number)
- Email address (if you linked an email)
- Profile data (display name, bio, position, skill level)
- Profile photo and related media
- Saved settings associated with your account
We delete or anonymize this data within approximately 30 days of your request, unless retention is required by law.
What data may be retained
- Booking and transaction records (retained for a minimum of 7 years for tax and accounting)
- Data required to comply with legal obligations or resolve disputes
- Aggregated or anonymized analytics that can no longer identify you
